Rithvik Ramesh
Hi everyone, my name is Rithvik Ramesh and I am a senior at Dougherty Valley High School. I decided to begin the SRESO based on my own experiences competing in Elementary Science Olympiad. My team "The Junior Einsteins" competed in the Bay Area Science Olympiad twice, representing Forest Park Elementary School in Fremont. We placed 2nd the first year that we competed and placed 1st the second year.Overall, Science Olympiad was an extremely fun and educational experience for me and led me to start one in San Ramon.
When I am not thinking about Science Olympiad, I think about geography, math, or taekwondo. I love geography and I was the school winner for the National GeoBee in 4th,5th,6th, and 7th grades. I placed 25th in CA in 2011 and 5th in CA in 2012. Now, I teach an after-school Geography Class at Quail Run Elementary School. Math is also one of my most favorite subjects, and I also constantly compete in and teach math, especially Math Olympiad. In taekwondo, I am currently a first-degree black belt and I love to spar. I hope to test for my second-degree soon!
